Precautions for storing playing cards

1、 Do not expose playing cards to direct sunlight or prolonged exposure to light. Poker should be kept bright and new for a long time, and should not be exposed to sunlight frequently, let alone in the sun. Intense sunlight radiation can cause poker to fade and become old. Poker should be displayed in dim light and stored in dark conditions. Displaying poker cards in frames or storing them near balconies or windows with excessive exposure to direct or diffuse light is not advisable.

2、 Avoid various chemical contaminations. Poker should be placed away from places such as kitchens, garages, and bathrooms to prevent pollution from oil fumes, detergents, gasoline, and other sources. Poker cards contaminated with ink, ink, oil stains, detergents, etc., as well as used poker cards, should not be mixed with clean and brand new poker cards. Do not smoke, speak, drink tea, or eat while watching poker.

3、 Be careful not to wash your hands and touch the poker with your hands. When organizing poker and making exhibition boards, it is important to develop the habit of washing hands before operating or wearing gloves. Poker cards that have been touched by hand are prone to leaving fingerprints, sweat stains, and dust, which affect the appearance of the cards. The mold left behind is more likely to mold the cards and is not suitable for long-term storage.

4、 Cannot store items arranged haphazardly. Poker, books, exhibition books, and derivatives should be organized and stored in an orderly manner, classified and not disorderly. Newly purchased or exchanged poker cards should be promptly sorted and stored properly to avoid being lost during appreciation or use.

5、 Pay attention to acid-base erosion. Acid and alkali substances can cause poker to change color, fade, corrode, and damage, so poker should not be placed together with various acid and alkali substances, and used poker and poker derivatives should not be cleaned with acid and alkali substances.

6、 Pay attention to directly pasting poker cards in the exhibition. After the poker on the exhibition piece is wrapped in a protective bag, it should be attached to the exhibition piece with double-sided tape. When removing the poker from the exhibition piece, the protective bag should be removed together, and it should not be forcefully torn off, otherwise it will damage the appearance of the poker and affect its integrity.

7、 Do not stack and store poker cards. Poker cards should be placed vertically in bookshelves, bookshelves, or cardboard boxes, and should not be stacked in multiple layers. Otherwise, the cards may adhere to each other for a long time, and overlapping display books can cause sticking between the cards and the film. When taken out, it is easy to tear and affect the appearance.

8、 Pay attention to sealing and storing. Poker collection should pay attention to ventilation and air permeability, eliminate the chemical gases generated by the use of chemical additives, inks, covering agents, polishes, adhesives, etc. in the production process of poker itself, and reduce the damage to the human body. The exhibition bag and brochure should have an opening above and should only be used for a short period of time during the exhibition. Long term sealed storage can easily cause poker to become damp and moldy, and chemical gases can affect people's physical health.

9、 Pay attention to moisture and mold. Poker is a paper product that is prone to mold and damage when exposed to moisture. Poker storage should be placed in a well ventilated and dry place, and should not be stored in damp and poorly ventilated areas such as basements, storage rooms, garages, under beds, bathrooms, kitchens, etc. After the rainy season every year in the Jiangnan region, poker should be allowed to disperse and breathe.

10、 Pay attention to insect infestation and rodent damage. Within one year, select dry and suitable weather to inspect the collection once or twice. A few sanitary balls should be stored inside the storage box, and a few pieces of thymol paper should be placed in the display booklet to prevent insect damage and ensure the integrity of the poker.
